'.. that tickle ~ every length of every nerve ~ to
convince a person ~ they do not have enough .. '
Tis true, life owes you nothing.. it's given, you're stuck with it. However, once a gift's given, surely it would be both foolish and thoughtless to put it aside without examining its reason for being.
Your words relate the start of breath, then - twist and turn emotionally, in some ways disregarding the positives! But, by the finish you've inspired touched thought. Good, yes?

Life offers more often than not a handful of mundane hopes. The hopes that are futile and never to be achieved. We go on like a cart on the dusty road of life. You have expressed this futility aptly. The poetry makes us sit back and wonder why we are here and what is our purpose. This poem made me think and I loved every word you wrote.
Very true, we come into this world thinking we are owed for just existing. I think this was a beautiful piece and I look forward to reading more of your writing.
This is breath taking. I believe everyone who desires more out of life has felt every word you have described here. For a moment as I was reading, I could feel the urge to scream, Yes! Once you learn the true meaning behind the breath of life, can you understand how to see what has always been there, true tranquility. Oh hi, I'm Lei by the way! :)
We dictate our intentions on ourselves don't we? Some will choose to believe life owes them something for what they've been through. They wait for the universe to grant them contentment but it never comes. Probably because they block it with negative thinking. I like this writing.
