Fooled

Fooled

A Poem by luthien7

Redundant, saying - "Crime of passion!"

Tell your sweet lies walking;

I can't be fooled in this foul fashion,

though still I hear you talking.

A knowing caution this lover's pain

as coined by poets, minted gold;

finding myself caught again

within your lusty hold.

This poem perfectly illustrates the emotional turmoil we all have experienced at least once in our lives...informed self-indulgent possibly self-destructive behavior...isn't love grand?

This is a nice counterpoint to the ballade you presented. I love the surrender to a web of passion even when knowing it is a cotton candy mire of lies.
