TumbleweedsA Poem by luthien7FREE BIRD!!!!... I mean, uh, Free Verse...
Love is relative to perspective (concerning bills paid, kids, the Joneses) and maintenance-- so tools -- or the lack there of -- are important. But the kitchen's never cold, except for bare feet stuck to linoleum or that growing protrusion (oh, surprise! Surprise?) coming between us. So my mouth never gaped, eyes never widened, heart never skipped, when, in his monotone of merrymaking, I found the cat-calls to the girl who made the desert of his mouth (tumbleweeds in her eyes). Nothing dead can die. Keeping in perspective that tools (or the lack there of) are important. © 2008 luthien7Reviews
