My last first day of school is tomorrow, first thing in the morning I have to meet with my guidance counselor about my college applications. I've been applying to every art school there is and I'm not sure how I would react if I don't get in. My parents aren't happy with my choice but that's just it. It's MY choice, I've had a love for art since I knew what love was. Honestly, I think my parents are just happy I haven't run off with some boy yet like my sister Polly but boys don't really spark my interest I mean don't get me wrong I've kissed a guy but it is not all it's talked up to be. Polly said there had to be something wrong with me because I'm a senior and I haven't "done it" yet. She thinks I'm a lesbian. I have no preference, that's just not what I'm looking for right now. My eighteenth birthday is only a month away and I'm waiting to do anything until then. For now, I am solely focused on art. Speaking of I heard through the grapevine, Mrs.Tartentino retired. I hope the replacement is at least half as cool as she was. I think the new teacher's name is Ms.Sharp and I heard shes young too, too young to be teaching high schoolers. I guess we will see. I am so nervous to go back, I have my best outfit picked out, ts not too subtle but not too bold. The perfect amount of both. I have my black converse set out with the best pair of skinny jeans I own and a black T-Shirt that has a shrunken version of the oil painting Les Demoiselles d'Avignon by Picasso on the front. My mom had to fake loving it when I bought it but the jokes on her, its a painting of five prostitutes, ita a beautiful piece of art don't get me wrong but she barely even looked at it. And of course a pullover hoodie just in case anyone catches onto it and makes me change. My hair will be straight per usual but over the summer my hair color had changed from "dirty blonde" to almost a platinum blonde color thanks to my summer job as a lifeguard watching snotty nose kids making sure they didn't drown, basically doing what their parents should have been while they were busy sunbathing. I think its the best color for me it fits my pale skin and blue eyes more than that "dirty blonde" color ever did.
