Simplicity Devine

Simplicity Devine

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

What do you see when you see a rose

Simply a flower

A symbol of love

Or do you look a little deeper

Do you see the reaching thorns

Keeping gaurd of the ruby above

Do you see the aphids in their menacing quest

To destroy the red queen atop her throne of thorns

Do you see the simplicity devine

What do you see when you see a spider on it's web

Do ou see a spider's home

Simply a part of the spider's life

Or do you look a little deeper

Do you see the spider so still

Like a jungle cat ready to attack

Do you notice the lovely dew drops

Like diomonds in mid air

do you see the simplicity devine

This was a wonderful piece, very eye-opening. It really shows us to open our eyes to the world around us, and not just go by what we see. Good job Love

I love how this poem dwells deep into things.
After reading this poem, I'm more alert and I'm starting to inquire and look more into things simple as a spider's web that you mentioned in your poem!

It's lovely!

A great poem about looking deeper at the simple things in life.

Oh, but I believe it's 'divine' and not 'devine'...
