Pity Perfection

Pity Perfection

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

I see the way you shy away from crowds

How you sit in a hidden place durring the one time for friends

Yet you so often smile and walk with your head held high

The image of both beauty and perfection

Do you even see how boys admire you with devious eyes

Or how girls glare at you with an envious glow of praise

You may be naive

But I am not

I see that your smile never reaches your eyes

That you throw away your lunch and don't eat

I notive the hesitation in your voice when you are asked if you are ok

You can't fool me

I pity your perfection

It makes me curious as to who you are directing this at. Who's perfection do you find pitiful?
