Vanity

Vanity

A Poem by Lunar Lightning

People may practice the art of humility in public

Though who are we to say that is really how they are

Dispite the so-called humility they judge others

Doing so they feel better about themselves

People notice the flaws in others

But the one they admire and critique most is themselves

Commiting one of the Seven Deadly Sins

Vanity

The ugly green monster within us all

Vanity

What can either lift us up or drag us down

Vanity

Looking back at us as we tear ourselves apart
