Tell Her

Tell Her

A Poem by Lunar Lightning
"

Sometimes she already knows, but she wants to hear it....

"

You walk home the long way just to spend a few more minutes with her,

Trip and fall just to see her smile and hear her laugh,

And stay up when  you're not allowed just to listen when she falls asleep on the phone,

Yet you won't admit you love her?

Always checking up on her boyfriend to keep him in check,

Telling her what he did that he shouldn't so she doens't get hurt,

Staying by her side no matter what to be sure she is never alone,

And you finally admit that you love her

Take her to dinner and a movie so she knows you remember her birthday

Give her your jacket so she doesn't get sick

Let her spend the night so she doesn't walk home alone at night

It is time to tell her you love her

Returning the favor :]

What I especially like about this poem is that nearly every girl in the world can relate to the anticipation of this sort of thing. I don't mean that they all have a best guy friend, but deep down every girl just wants to be told that she's loved, rather than having to sit and wonder, and we (they) are all screaming inside their heads, "WHY WONT YOU JUST ADMIT YOU LIKE ME". I enjoyed this since it was so relateable and being the romantic sap I ap, absolutely adorable at the same time. Write on!

Extra note: check for spelling here or there :]
