Crimson Facade

Crimson Facade

A Poem by Lunar Lightning
"

It is like a single sided friendship, is it not?

"

Through her pain I'm forced to suffer

With crimson tears we cry together

I've loved, she's lost, and vise versa

We are changing together, but are drifting apart

I look to the moon as she looks to the sun

I'm sick of the mask she makes me put on

I'm through pretending we get along

So long my crimson facade,

My life has finally begun

yeah, it does seem to be a one sided thing. you're not alone though, i've been there too, and well, lets just say i'm still stuck.. "I look to the moon as she looks to the sun
I'm sick of the mask she makes me put on"

nicely coined and phrased. i like the symmetry of it too. just a tinge of bitterness without strong resentment. just right.

Short and simple, but it says everything it needs to. I especially like the last 2 lines; with the 'finally liberated' feel.
