King of Mine

King of Mine

A Poem by Mary

Care to take a look in my life?

All I’ve been seeing is yours.

Your problems

Your worries

Your social insecurities,

That you think the world revolves around.

I want to say,

Please look my way.

Friend, I need your once loving glance.

As if in a trance you talk

And walk all over my receipting ears.

It appears to me

Your majesty,

You fancy yourself the king of melodramatics.

But I will not be the clown in your castle

The jester in your court.

So here I say

Not one more day

Will I stay your fool.

Your Majesty,

Your confessor is no more.

It seems that you had to go deep to come up with this.

It drives me mad when people always talk and are too self-absorbed to listen. Its always nice when you find people who do. I loved the fluctuations in the length of the stanzas and thought it was a great poem.

this is so true about some people! They only care about themselves, and they don't notice the people who care about them! Wonderful job! This was an excellent write ^^

Amazing job, sometimes our friends don't see how much we need them. They only talk about their feelings. Great write!
