Liquid Nightmares

Liquid Nightmares

A Poem by Mary
"

a poem for WA, a writing group i'm in.

"

The water pours

Drip, drip, drip

Covering me drop by drop

The cold tingle of bitter hypothermia

Is a happy sign,

I no longer remember

What had made me cry.

I breather faster and faster,

As I lose all sight of my precious oxygen,

One last gulp

Before I am completely submerged.

I am now a thoughtless

Uncaring being.

Well at least until the darkness falls

And I am saved

By the bright light of consciousness.

Clarity has replaced my fog,

And all those unwanted feelings return,

Time to turn on the facet once more.
