In Between

In Between

A Poem by Mary

In Between

A single silent moment,

No movement

Or sound,

I sit in complete darkness.

My eyes locked away

My mouth sewn shut

My hears stuffed with cotton,

I know nothing

I feel nothing

I am nothing

By breath gone,

My heart stalled,

I wait for death

But it never comes,

I am stuck

In this state of madness

Neither life nor death,

But limbo

I cannot move

Or plead for help,

Will somebody kill or save me?

Where is the light in this darkness?

i like this. nothingness. sometimes being on a side would be better, but the people whom are on a side would probably chose the between.. love the ending though.. where is the light in this darkness. :) keep writing! love your poems.

I agree Lilith you are good at writing and I especially like how you describe the feeling and empty, nothingness in the poem. im scared of limbo now!!!!! :Z

This was good! The short lines and stanzas help emphasize the "nothingness" you are describing. Keep writing, you're good at it!
