Harsh Reality

Harsh Reality

A Poem by Mary

Harsh Reality

I will beat you

I will bruise you

I will make you cry

And not apologize,

Because I am not sorry.

I am the deepest thought

The knowing smile

The utter truth

The harsh reality.

You deny me,

You hide from me,

But you can never escape me.

I pull back the wool from your eyes,

Splash the water in your face,

And scream until I am heard

Sometimes you thank me

But mostly you rather I remain silent

I will not allow you to remain unaware

And I will not stand by and watch you lie to yourself

Will you see my value,

Or with you smother my outburst?

Only time will tell.

But you cannot escape the harsh reality.

Mary
please review! I was talking to my friend and i was thinking about how i was her only reminder of how this boy wronged her and she shouldn't let herself forget it.
