Take Aim

Take Aim

A Poem by Mary
"

i have just recently started do learn archery

"

My hands stiff and clammy

My knees not at all stable,

This is my stance

I prepare myself,

Deep cleansing breaths

Everything in check

I am now ready,

My body slides into place

My arm extends

The pain a welcome reminder,

I do not falter

My form of stone

I take my aim,

Low is always the way to go

But I don’t want to miss

So I remember all my practice,

And let go

Hoping it knows the way

My arrow flies,

It is a blur before my eyes

Announcing its departure

I smile,

Seeing my work has been rewarded

Only a centimeter off the mark.

HA you missed. Now archery cannot be this bad to you. I've done it and its harder when you don't have muscles like me.
