My FriendA Poem by MaryHello, My new little friend. Your fur is like snow, Your eyes like fresh blueberries You hop and play Around my little yard It is the west, And you are Lewis and Clark What will you discover, In this uncharted land? Will birds dance? On the ground singing of a better tomorrow, Will frogs play, A fetching game of scrabble? Will flowers listen, To me and all my friends? Oh how we love to talk, Our dreams are endless. What is your discovery my friend, Have you fulfilled your curiosity? Did you see, The dog with all knowing eyes? He is kind my friend, You should pay him a visit. He loves company, Just the other day I saw him talking with Mr. Blue Jay You will find a home here, Just don’t get lost in the pond of plastic It will swallow you whole, I don’t want to lose you my friend. So be careful, And don’t trust Mr. Tinkles. He is a compulsive liar, My friend. © 2010 MaryAuthor's Note
