Coming Night

Coming Night

A Poem by Mary

The confusion rings in my ears

Echoing off the walls of my brain,

So I sit in agony

Waiting for the certainty of clarity,

But as time goes on

I stay in my perpetual state.

Dreaming of a better tomorrow

Where things are right

And night is night

And day takes my breath away,

So minute by minute

I plan

I seek my future time span,

But the choices I see

Are not right for me

There is nothing left in my hand.

I dread the coming night

The future is my only fright,

But with hope as my coat

I sink and I float,

And walk into the coming night.

Wow I finally Realizes what you are writing. It's not dark or emo its cold hard truth or situations put into perspective.

Its kind of haunting, the fear of the unknown and that's often what our futures can seem like, the unknown and the unknown can be scary. Nice job on this.

This was really good! The way you rhymed it was original and funky, but in a good way. All the metaphors create nice imagery. Nice job!
