Coming NightA Poem by MaryThe confusion rings in my ears Echoing off the walls of my brain, So I sit in agony Waiting for the certainty of clarity, But as time goes on I stay in my perpetual state.
Dreaming of a better tomorrow Where things are right And night is night And day takes my breath away, So minute by minute I plan I seek my future time span, But the choices I see Are not right for me There is nothing left in my hand. I dread the coming night The future is my only fright, But with hope as my coat I sink and I float, And walk into the coming night. © 2010 MaryAuthor's Note
