Abandoned

 

All alone

With no one to hear or care

Everything had been thrown to the air

I sit and watch

And wait

Hoping they will show.

 

I check my email

And all my messages

No one has responded

I am truly alone

Now and forever abandoned

That is all I know.

 

Everyone has forgotten

The girl they used to know

And all I have to show

Is the memories

Of times once sweet

Now bitter with loss.

 

What was the cost?

Just my heart

Now darkened with

The hate

Of them

My once cherished friends.

 

I do wonder

If they know

That they left me abandoned

Lost in the perpetual snow

Of my life

Now empty without my friends.
