Finding a Pen NameA Stage Play by Lunaan article about using a pen nameHi. Have you ever wanted a pen name, because maybe it would help you publish, like publishers wanted thought it would help you sell more or any other reasons? Here are some stratigies.
1. Look through an online or physical baby book. Find names that really fit that genre. For horror, you wouldn't want a light name like Rosie Walker. For horror, you'd want a dark name, and for fantasy or sci-fi, you'd want an uncommon, unique name.
2. Use your initails. You could use you first name intial, middle name intial, and your last name. Or maybe just all intials!
3. Just pick a random word out of a dictionary. Then maybe you can edit it by adding or removing letters, so it will be a name you'll like, and a name that fits your genre, or you can scramble your own name.
4. You can pick combinations of your favorite words like Delta Finner. (Sounds stupid, i know, but you get the point.)
5. Use part of your street name, your pet's name, your favorite food, your favorite color, your relatives name, anything and just make it into a name.
6. Just use a real name, like Stephin King, used something like Richard Benner(i think).
I hoped this really helped! Leave your comments and tell me your own pen names and more tips on creating one.
