Twin Flame

Twin Flame

A Poem by Trisha

breathless, I walk past the memories that haunt me
gasping for air, I reach out for those ethereal cords
that bind us together in the flame
my dreams are so real, I feel your touch but my eyes
left blinded by the loneliness that sleeps in my bed

My heart center is bursting with anticipation
letting go of my fear, I trust your beautiful hands
to guide me to ecstasy
take me where we first laid upon the earth
and get lost with me once more
I need the scent of you to fill me
so I can walk my path knowing you're not to far away

Author's Note

Trisha
just about a month ago I met a man I believe to be my Twin Flame. After the 3rd day of our meeting he had to move, he has come back since then to visit but he has to go again. I have never felt so connected to anyone as I do him. Some part of me is afraid I will never see him again and the other part of me tells me he'll be back! Thanks for reading guys

This poem, in my heart, in my stomach, feels like it came from my own pen. It sounds like, "me." Maybe because I have been in that place, the place you are, or were, when you wrote this. "That bind us together in the flame," such a visceral and starkly truthful line . . . it lingers in my mind, courses through my veins. I hope your paths cross again, and again, and again . . .
