I don't want to say goodbye.

I wrote this for my boyfriend; in a few weeks, we have to say goodbye as we both move away for college. I love you, Mason. <3

The days fly by, counting down until the end.

Oh, to be able to pause life for just a moment,

Just one perfect moment, and never let it go,

I’d give anything.

How do you say goodbye to the one you love, 

Knowing how much hurt that one word carries?

How do you walk away from your other half,

Not knowing when you’ll hold them again? 

So long these thoughts have been bearing down on me.

We’ve known for months that this moment would come,

But for a chance to turn back time and relive it all with you,

I’d give anything.

Okay, so I guess my review deleted itself? Anyways what I said was that this poem was powerful, meaningful and passionate and you really showed so many strong emotions in these short few stanzas. It has excellent flow just like the rest of your writing, which is something I should compliment you on, and it is also very consistent. There aren't little breaks where I could see your struggles just by the words you used. It is overall a very impressive poem :)
