Plastic Wrap

Plastic Wrap

A Poem by Sophie
"

ehhh....

"
a heart as strong as glass
An ego the size of a pin,
insecurities, built to last
you make me feel like plastic wrap

Easy to bend, to manipulate
to stretch 'til it breaks
you do this to me
and yet, I'm still in love

You made the glass shatter
And the pin clatters
to the floor
and the wall has been worn
away to nothing

You stretch and pull,
I crinkle and gleam
But i know I will rip
at an invisible seam
the pain you have brought to me
was endured
solely for you,
my love.

Such meaningful words. I think everyone of us has found that one person that we loved no matter how hard they made us weep.

Nice use of the language. Made the poem a entertaining read. I like the title and the strong statements in the poem.

You read this wrong dontwake me a person with a heart as strong as glass is weak and weak people don't generally don't have big egos that's why they they are vulnerable. Great job Sophie

I think it was very interesting way to use a plastic bag:)

Not my favorite of your work. I think you should update your adjectives, their not descriptive enough. Also, I get confused with the lines, "heart as strong as glass, ego the size of a pin..." When I think of glass hearts, I think of big egos, but pins are tiny... am I reading this wrong? Overall, great potential, don't give up on this peice just yet. Keep at it, Sophie!
