Colors of the Flame

Colors of the Flame

A Poem by Sophie
"

wrote this awhile ago, forgot about it :P

"

In the dance

Of the flickering flame

It’s so beautiful

The way it moves,

The way it’s strong,

But if a wind blew

It’s gone

To embers

To coals

And to ashes

From solid to dust

Beautiful, flickering flame

Turns and adjusts

But will never change

And in its end

As the fuel is all burnt out

Strings of crimson

Glowing embers of gold

In its last breath

Finally tamed

Behold

The colors of the flame

Every time I see fire, whether lighting up a candle or if its a bonfire, I cant help but be mesmerized by it. This poem captures its beauty.
