Slipping

Slipping

A Poem by .:Lu:.

She's running,
Her feet unseen,
And her heart racing,
To outrace a fiend.

A trip over a rock,
A slip over a root,
And her life and spirit
Soon become pocked.

With a thud and a crash,
And a scrape on her soul,
Her heart drops terribly,
As the pain creates a gash.

But she won't stay down forever
Because she's determined
And just like an angel
She'll do it eternal.
