Yet another story

Forever.

What a word!

I could turn it over in my mind, and think of what it means.....I could even make a whole new definition for it. I might ask another person what they think forever is, to rid myself of that deal.

Or......

I could go back to forever. Yes, I should. I will.

It was early, a time without years. Oh, they have a year now, but then, they were trying to figure each other out for a start.

I had a different form. I was important then and now, but I had a different form.

I was, and still am, the light. No, not life, or hope, but light. The one who made life and hope. The one who came before anything else. That is me. I am light.

It isn't the best position. So many take it for granted, don't bother to think of where light can't go, where the shadows roam without borders or restraint. No, light isn't free of laws or even barriers put against me. Dark is the same: limitless, but limited. A lie in itself, but truth.

No, light isn't always good. From the beginning, I have caused trouble. Fire. Burn. Melt. Flood. Kill.

Destroy.

But, like with shadow, I have brought goo. Hope. Life. Warmth. Comfort. Thriving.

Everything.

Which, by itself, can be good or bad, varying upon how long it lasts. Like everything else, it can go either way.

Just like shadow.
