Shattered beyond reason

Scared out of wits

Yes, I am loved

I know beyond a doubt

Hiding from my family

Reaching for my friends

Scarred forever, I cry

Blind in one eye, it echoes

The snow on the ground,

The paint on the wall

Both white, both cold

Like the heart of my attacker

I wish I could run

Far from this place

Where I could lie on the grass

And watch the sun rise

The pain echoes from every pore

And I try to bite the scream

I beg for peace, for comfort

But only more suffering comes
