TimeA Poem by Lauren PerryJune 12, 2015Time stands still. As the clocks are ticking away, the chimes ring in and out, like the tide on a winters night. Cold, harsh winds whipping, the sound of a train in the distance, time is ever present. Never a gift, sometimes a curse, time is just an interpretation. The cold chill of the rain falling, raging waves swallow sadness, explosions in the sky. Time is still there but only as you see it. Tears fall from the sky, landing in the crashing waters, a never ending ocean of darkness. The train whistles as it passes, in sync with the chimes, rising above the ocean sounds, time is running out.
