Heart Break

Hurts.

Theres nothing else to say about having your heart broken besides that it hurts.

you're so confused.

you're so lost.

you're so uncertain of yourself

of others

of their intentions

and even your own.

you do not understand the thing that you loved the most

could hurt you the worst.

the person you would die for

do anything for

did nothing for you

but hurt you.

did not put your emotions in consideration

did not understand your needs

and cater to them.

instead, that person wanted everyone from you

from me

me to love them

me to trust them

me to confide in them

me to come to them

for them to feel power

for them to feel needed

and loved

to feel warmth

i made them feel comfortable

they made me feel cold

small

unworthy-

"like the rest"

but i trusted them

loved them

confided in them

if i lost them

i lost me

but eventually it took the loss of myself

to lose this mental toll

physical weight

and emotional drain away from me

i am not sure who i am

or what i want

RIGHT NOW

HEART BROKEN

but I know change will come

and the Lord will guide me down a path

i am just following the pavement of growth and prosperity.
