Why Writers Write...

Why Writers Write...

A Poem by Luissanto
"

Written by Louis Saint Verges

"

Each writers life is a unique book,

A book that entices you to be opened and immerses

you into its pages. Some have beautiful endings

and some have tragic ones...
but they are all still worth reading.

Some are filled with adventure, drama and romance

while some are filled with pain and loss

but with each and every line

the writer invites you to feel what they feel

to see what they see, to love as they have loved

and to suffer as they have suffered.

As you immerse yourself in each word,

there is a special bond that is formed.

A very intimate bond, one that is not easily broken.

For that short period of time

You and the writer become one,

as your lives are intertwined.

Even after you move on

to another book or another writer

there is a part of them, that will always be with you.

This is true intimacy and the reason why writers write.

I couldn't have said it better myself.. We try to allow the reader into our mind, our hearts, our lives and give them a glimpse into our soul.. we share ourselves on a level that is deep and meaningful.. when you "connect" with the emotions and images we portray, then magic happens.. sometimes small little twinges, sometimes intense ones that grab you by the throat and make you feel.. it is part of the reason we write. to allow others to "see" us.. to "feel" what we feel.. to share life experiences, pain, love, loss...
To touch the lives of others.. to teach life lessons that we have learned.. to make us laugh.. to share their escape into imagination with the world.. this is written and expressed beautifully here, as always.. I really enjoyed this sir.. Your works always have a pleasant "familiar" feel to it.. don't know how to explain it, but I like it.. ((hugs))

Thank you for summarizing everything I wish to say to people. This was well written, and expelled the truth, without being boring.

your welcome :)
This is so accurate! I just finished this amazing book that in it I found so much of myself! My heart ached and I cried and I loved and I lost all within the pages. It just gave me more confirmation of why I write and read, hoping that one day I move someone to that extent.
This is true beauty and truth in itself!
