He Never Said "Goodbye"

He Never Said "Goodbye"

He stood there on the top of his grandmothers roof,

starring out into the night. Tears filled his eyes as sadness filled

his heart. He never said "goodbye" was the thought that haunted

him. The reason he never said "goodbye" was because he never

got to say "hello". His infant son, had died and he would never know

the joy of holding him, telling him that he loved him or just touching

his little hands. He felt robbed, there was an emptiness which was

consuming him, for something precious had been taken away...

Something which could never be replaced. It didn't matter

how many children, he would have later on. His little angel was gone,

and nothing could ever change that. When his little one died, a part of

him did as well, a part which would never be revived again.

As time went by, tears began to dry and wounds began to heal.

but make no mistake, even though the wounds would eventually close.

The scar of the loss, he suffered, would be with him forever and a day.

Later on in life, he was blessed with a new family and there wasn't

a day that went by, that he didn't thank God for them. His family loved

him greatly and he loved them as well...

But there would always be a part of his heart, which would be filled with

the sadness of knowing that he never said "goodbye"
