The Grave Mistake

When you looked into his eyes

It was then you thought you knew

He was the one God sent

especially for you

So you didn't ask "The Lord"

for you knew, he was the one

until you said" I do"

and everything was done

He was loving and attentive

until you made him mad

then all the love was gone

he then became your dad

now all he does is beat you

within inches of your life

you shouldn't be a punching bag

you're supposed to be his wife

He later says he's sorry

and tears begin to flow

Stop believing all his lies

you really need to go

you made a grave mistake

by becoming this man's wife

don't compound this grave mistake

by staying to lose your life
