after the storm

after the storm

A Poem by Rath

It almost came crashing down

The last pillar shook after the earthquake

the ceiling is falling into itself

After all that words said

it came to view

who am I

I know who I am

I am who I say I am

who I know I am

I became strong

but only after the storm

I like this.

I am the Scarlet Ibis, the stormtossed, landlocked seagul.

I know what its like, how hard it is to weather the storm, and i love how youve portrayed that sense of victory and knowledge and strength of self gained from making it through.

Kudos

I like this. It is simple and direct but introspective at the same time; an interesting piece. The storm is a great metaphor usage for trial or argument.
