the nights fade

as i look at you one last time

i say good night and forget i went to sleep

all i want is to make sure your ok

im 2000 miles away and i look at you through a small screen

i know were not truly together

but sometimes i like to think we are

 

i simply want to hold you

and at some point feel your lips

its been almost 3 years since the last time i saw you in person

I, myself, am a long distance lover. Half a world a way, in fact... So i can empathise to a certain extent with the emotions that you so excellently displayed in this piece.
