I see it, I can feel it

I am within its reach

I can almost touch it

I stumble, I fall

 

I brush myself off

I wait for the healing

I return to where I was

I repeat the deadly cycle

 

I think I finally have it

I feel eternal bliss

I feel as if I transcend reality itself

I am secretly paranoid

 

I see the cycle repeat itself

I don’t think I can take it anymore

I see the pain, and decide it’s not worth it

To reiterate the words “I love you, forevermore.”
