The Loudness of Silence

The Loudness of Silence

A Poem by Lucy

The loudness of silence
comes
when all stands still
when the world is sleeping
when humans are dreaming.

The loudness of silence
is when it is too quiet.
it is when all sounds are off
that it is at its high

I hate silence with a burning passion. Not only does it drive me insanem but it remind me of myself from years ago: silent and leathal.

Very true. That noise that becomes maddeningly loud when there are no other people about is pretty intense. Especially when you concentrate on listening to it. Then it becomes overpowering and you start making other noises to blot it out, haha. Been there. Great write.
