santa monica squatter

A Poem by Jessie Dana
"

2006

"

"didn't drinking enough to drown

like this" he says

"caring is obsession"

i'm breaking myself

i just wish you knew

the secrets i hold so much better

"i look into your eyes and i see

your soul" he tells

"right down to your hour glass heart"

but he won't break it

he thinks he has me fooled

but i can see eright through him

"i can't imaging anything anymore

at all" he said

"your mud has made me want to

come clean"

and so i smile

cause i know he's mine

and he'll never let me go

but i live in my heart

and he lives in his head

and i think we met in the middle

he's my one last chance

and i'm his only hope

and all that we have

is each other

"i can't live without you and i'll

never leave" he tells me

"i'm in love with you"

i look into his eeyes

and i see the future

and i know

that i'm his

and he's mine
