a disney kind of love

a disney kind of love

A Poem by Jessie Dana

"
who we were then
the past, dead and gone
we grow
we live, we love and we fall
deep down the rabbit hole
you are my wonderland
second star to the right
straight on till morning
you're my dream come true
this love is special
pure and genuine
no judgments made
we are who we are
from black and white
to technicolor
you've made me see the light
sitting in a cemetery christmas eve
you are my pumpkin king
i am your queen
i've got no strings to hold me down
you cut them all
you set me free
you loved me at once
love at first sight
my prince charming
the glass slipper fits
there is no mistake
this is real
dreams are wishes your heart makes
my heart and dreams saw you
i won't say i'm in love
i won't deny it either
tale as old as time
our tale is a thing of legends
hold me tight
don't let go
looking up at the stars
i know someone's thinking of me
every day i fall more in love
you are my disney world

This is an awesome poem! Part of it was somewhat free-verse, but there's nothing wrong with that if you intended for it to be. Also, it is kind of all-over the place, but it doesn't take away from the experience, so it's just a minor issue.

I want to just say you are an awesome poet. Great job!
