love rhymes with train wreck

love rhymes with train wreck

A Poem by Jessie Dana
"

wrote this in 2007 about my now ex boyfriend.

"
everything i had wished for last year
is everything i'm regretting right now
all of the promises that you made to me
were all forgotten somehow

yeah we had dreams and i sang along
and i meant it
like you meant it
and are we
finally falling apart

apartment keys are rusting
yeah you got the best of me
and these leaves are falling somehow
tell me we're not falling apart

no more sweet kisses
not one second glance
no ring on my finger
not now
no more late night calls
no more "i love you"s
you don't bring me flowers anymore

the paint dries on the walls
as i'm in the hallway
thinking of what to do next
broken mirror in the bedroom
and my shattered dreams
we've fallen apart somehow

yeah we had dreams and i sang along
and i meant it
like you meant it
and are we
finally falling apart

the volume's on 20
still can't drown you out
wish i could get away from this place
and we're somehow falling apart

talk to me talk to me talk to me
tell me why i can't walk away
lie to me lie to me lie to me
beg me to stay
look at me look at me look at me
my hazel eyes don't lie
i want to stay
blue eyes don't break on me
don't break on me now

yeah we had dreams and i sang along
and i meant it
like you meant it
and are we
finally falling apart

no more sweet kisses
not one second glance
no ring on my finger
not now
please tell me
we're not falling apart
