Emotional Hyperbole

Emotional Hyperbole

A Poem by LL2
"

I've been holding on to this term, "emotional hyperbole", waiting for the right moment to use it in a poem. I found out I am pregnant for the second time. The first time, miscarrying at 8 weeks.

"

My life changed today for a second time
But not exactly was it so divine
Felt the echoing blow of a victimless crime
I’m lost with exhaust because I’m…

Scared
Unprepared
Unwilling to have the thought of you shared.
I’m impaired

Imparted
With an emotional hyperbole
Lying underneath a tree
Where all the leaves may fall at once.

Good job. I like the stress and the intensity of it. Good job.
