I'm More Than Nothin'A Poem by LL2A few days ago, someone looked at my ring, and said, "You must be somebody's special somethin'!" I don't think the human heart is made to withstand being completely alone. You must be somebody’s special somethin Can’t be everybody’s absolutely nothin Can’t be left behind Mankind Isn’t made to be left in the dust Innately, we’re made to trust One another Love one another Take care of one another. You must be somebody’s special somethin Someone’s photo in a wallet Someone who’d show it off and call it Their baby, their sister, their friend You must be somebody’s special somethin There’s got to be a place called home Comfy, familiar, where you belong. Even if a long Way away. It’s gotta be there. There must be someone who gives a damn Who sticks up for you in life’s battering ram You must be somebody’s special somethin © 2010 LL2Reviews
