Inside My CalamityA Poem by LuciDxInsanitYFade those curtains white to grey Rip the weatherstrip away Bury the remote Break the earbuds, listen closely. Bare lays your body, as these concussions Settle in, store there winter store of nuts and berries Rocking to and fro and high and nigh Stay just so long as a hint of time would permit Let me tell you my woes Inside my shaky hands and mismatched eyes I couldn't trust myself to know the truth Lend me your ears, so that I might find it right Anger. Its my broken fuse box Concocting these afore mentioned head knocks Can't sleep, couldn't concentrate if I tried My mood is slipping around like the drops Of rain that splatch and plonk from one Wonky angle to another, crisscrossed across The rollercoaster tracks until Sagging to the ground deflated and satirical The misused balloon of it Sits and lies in eternal wait Rock bottom feels so. Twisted how often I like it here More comfy than that Odd Alice in Wonderland type Feeling one gets from happiness? Indeed, Odd. Ought I tell you more? Ramble and ramble Like that old English thicket, bloodhounds hounding away Ought I let you in on the deep secret To my unfounded patience? There is none, not that I could tell Seein as how too long ago I bit my tongue. Bit it clean off, and then The cat got it. Haven't seen it since. Discontent with life, irony and poor comedy follow me Like a cheap bandaid that can't quite fully disfigure The enstein that is so very close to meeting Frank Help Me. © 2012 LuciDxInsanitY |
