Oh my dear child

how I wish you could read my heart

then you would know how deep my love truly is...

I so failed with my actions and reactions

forgetting you were my student

I treated you at times as the teacher

you could not possibly be, I know, for neither was I

I allowed my emotions to guide the way I treated you

I allowed my fears to lose control and cause you pain

but worse of all I allowed myself to be drowned in opinions

from somewhere else...

And I, I got lost, pushed so far back that no light could be found

 

I hope you understand you are perfect

just as you have always been

I hope you see how much I've learned from you

as you turn into your own man

I hope you remember the good times as well as the bad

please always do whatever you need to to make yourself ok again

I hope you never doubt yourself yet examine yourself each day

I hope for you peace and happiness, come what may...
