Sometimes It Takes A Snow

Sometimes It Takes A Snow

A Poem by luciddreamer

He's been disabled going on three years now

She's working everyday to try to make ends meet

But it ain't working.......so they both pretend

everythings gonna be alright

His pain, and worry about the pills is driving him insane

Her feeling so utterly alone is making her feel to blame

And it ain't working.....as they both pretend

everythings gonna be alright

Pretending not to rob peter to pay paul

Pretending not scared to death, homeless will come to call

Pretending everything in the end is gonna pull this family through

as they look into their babies eyes,

and that's how I know                         It's gonna be alright

He starts seeing what he's got in front of his eyes

his pain now is only going for a ride

He's no longer pretending everythings gonna be alright

She's back in school, using her brain

Not letting the little branches bring her such pain

She's no longer pretending everythings gonna be alright

They let their children be children for as long as it shall be

Imagination running wild, come with what may

They are no longer pretending, everythings gonna be alright
