What I Saw

What I Saw

A Poem by luciddreamer

Yesterday, I felt disconnected

like floating, at least my mind

Not my body, it was as heavy as lead

I said ok, show me, and I opened my eyes

as well as my ears, while my voice I kept within

I saw smiles and kisses, I witnessed team work and pride

I heard praise and songs, I watched everyone dance,

while I sat and quietly smiled....

the lord showed you a vision, with a clear mind the goodness was brought to light.
not to say the darkness was no more but, as to say the light prevailed.

Dear liciddreamer,

Yes. Sometimes we forget the world goes on without us. It is an amazing place. Are we needed? Well, not really. We matter to some, but if we we gone, the world would carry on. So do we make a difference? An interesting question. We can leave our mark on the current world. But as time moves on our influence pales. Not to be concerned, however. This is how it should be. In the bigger scheme of things we are but a momentary dance. We influence others that see us as we pass. We may influence, but we are transitory, as is all life. We are a road. We are part of the scenary on that road, but we are not the destination. Life moves on and passes us by.

A greatly enjoyed poem,

Rick

Oh the lesson we can take away from your words.. open your eyes, and ears to the world around you, and soon your heart will follow.. allowing us to see the good works being done all around us.. speak less, and observe and you will find life's greatest gifts hidden right under your nose..

Elation from a moment of harmony.
Articulated with the same.

Wonderful spoken word piece...realizing that observation is a part of participation can be inclusive in within itself.
