The Ability to Rise

The Ability to Rise

A Poem by luciddreamer
"

Peace

"

It takes alot out of someone to keep getting pulled into what I refer to as "time warps", which is when something would trigger a memory to overtake my mind.  I became tired...I needed to understand what was beneath this evilness.

Today,  I feel I made a breakthrough.

I realized the more inward I dive, the more honest I am with myself, the more I forgive my enemies, as well as myself, and to be blunt the more audacity I have to become humane instead of human,

the more failures I see within,

the more demons I see within my own soul,

the more hate I see where I thought there was none.

May I always be grateful till my last dying breath of the ability to rise.

Well put! A honest and soul searching write. Some really good lines and the one that stood out for me was...

"I realized the more inward I dive, the more honest I am with myself, the more I forgive my enemies, as well as myself, and to be blunt the more audacity I have to become humane instead of human,....."

I find that forgiving others is far easier than forgiving myself....but I'm working on it! Very good write, thanks for sharing and thank you also for you review of my poem.

Failures within and the demons that hide deep in our souls fule the hate, jealousy, envy that pulls and tugs at all of us. Hate seems harsh, but hate is human. We hate, it's human nature, and sometimes for no other reason than the person is different.

Why I ask? Why hate someone for beomg different. Let the person be who they are, learn from that person, see what beauty that person brings to the table . Unless that person hates you. Then just slaughter them and feed them to the pigs.

Regards,

Matthew
