A Murder

A Murder

A Poem by luciddreamer
"

A write for Team Renfield....Real dream...and honestly just realized tonight I was dreaming about myself :)

"

I had this dream a couple of weeks ago

of some guys abducting me

they took me to a neighborhood

of perfect houses, with perfect yards, with perfect sidewalks

the kind of place that gives me the creeps

out came a woman, with her perfect hair, with her perfect eyes

perfect body, and perfect sighs as she pushed her perfect baby around

the dirty, gritty, bigger than I, men handed me a gun and said

it's either you or her,  which one

just then I awoke, panting, sweating, scarred to death

and for twelve days I have thought of this dream

oh my goodness what would I do?

Today I decided to kill the perfect girl, the one who tells me

NO

the one who says STOP, they might laugh at your writings,

I just shrug and say so.......

It is a bit shocking sometimes how our dreams deliver messages, but in this case I agree, kill the girl, there is nothing to gain by perfection, better to live life fully. There is no reason for poetry in a perfect world, but only in this real beautiful wonderful world. The inner mind is calling...

I am wondering, what is "Team Renfield"?

A picture of Empowerment coming from an unusual and interesting source.
Refusing to participate in vain comparisons is Always good though...

Robin's poetry, one cannot anticipate or say, 'Luciddreamer is 'this type of writer, or that is her forte' (rut).
Which is a mark of quality writing, I believe.

Sadly If I had this dream there really wouldn't be a choice but a showing of actions. Anytime it comes down to me or someone else, it will always be someone else. Is that selfish? Maybe but I am a huge fan of self preservation. Which can be a good thing, especially when the zombie apocolypse comes.

regards,

Matthew

there are several imterprative possibilities that come to mind~but I will simply say that I love the imagery you draw and the undercurrents of conflict perfectly arrayed to engage the reader from the get go ~

Most dreams really are about us, aren't they? Dealing with aspects of ourselves or our lives that our conscious minds can't or won't deal with.
