The LessonA Poem by luciddreamerChoosing to the same story through different eyesShe thinks about her life ten years ago About how she thought and where she thought she'd be As she looks around into the pain and nothingness She realized she right where she expected to be
Only seeing the desert in pictures, she hasn't arrived to her desitination yet; and then again is it really a destination or just another stop on this beautiful bumpy unpredictible road we call life... Craving the desert, feelings it warmth, a primitive call by nature, just looks like home although up to now it hasn't been
She wonders what it is that keeps pulling her west of where she now resides, she is starting to care not as much about the mystery for then she sometimes misses the opportunity to meet her true Destiny, hence, reset...start over again...
Looking back she can see its been a do over...a lesson that has been replayed over and over again..... for she keeps just missing the entire point She becomes thankful of the ones who before her, and sometimes even beside her that pulled her thoughts..for once she is feeling gratitude with the pain
Her children can't learn anything from her right now; her bite has been given, as well as taken...her life before now is over, like it never existed, only it did as she realizes her choices...gut wrenching yes...yet each pain has brought a truth forward all that can be done now is the truth being proven...not by good deeds or bad crimes...by just being...and enjoying....lifes bountiful and exquisite pleasures..
storing the knowledge she consciously exhales
She thinks about her life ten years ago About how she thought and where she thought she'd be As she looks around into the pain and nothingness She realizes she's right where she expected to be
