From The Porch

From The Porch

A Poem by luciddreamer

The trees leaves

dancing courtesy

of the wind

running to and from

gathering nuts for winter

squirrels with bushy tails

no clouds in the sky

as blue as Sinatras eyes

covering the pain

house being torn down

no longer is it a home

separated waste

wreath being replaced

from vibrant colors of spring

to dark orange and brown

rake standing straight up

next to the leaves on the ground

wishing for a hand

Hello Lucid,

I am curious on how many will get sinatras eyes. I am almost sure hardly anyone will. Not calling us out or anything but I thought it was a great metaphor. My favorite stanza infact.

Regards,

Matthew
