The Star Question

A couple of thoughts courtesy of my friend Tony who is a really enjoyable and thought provoking writer..y'all should check his writings out...

While I am here looking up wishing I was a star

I wonder if that star is looking at me wishing

to be human, wishing for a chance at destiny

While my legs hurt and are becomming worn out

I wonder if that star would gladly accept them,

and smile when the pain floods the mind,

As I prepare for another battle, coat of arms is heart on sleeve

I wonder if that star would welcome the chaos blissfully

Is that the secret, the holy grail, to be happy no matter where your at now

while as my friend Tony says leaving no victims behind...........

and what if you can't

what if you don't have the knowledge to yet do that

will you do foolish things, take chances, open your heart just a bit

to see if you are still alive

or are you suppose to sit quietly........

. no, no, no ... quietly is hereby banned ... :) ... especially for an amazing poet like you who shares the deepest of thoughts ... and allows us all many insights ... i think the pursuit of excellence never ends ... i think i'll be searching for the perfect word no matter how old i am ... when i'm writing ... i think i'd be as amazed as i was when i was 9 when i found a new song to listen to ... or new fragrance to try ... or new colour to wear ... i think we never stop seeking the beauty we are meant to celebrate ... and i sometimes think that the detachment that people talk about ... actually means a detachment from our expectations from people ... something that actually allows us to be more individualistic (and i don't meant selfish) ... and something that doesn't make us consequence dependent ... i mean who we are should not depend on how someone else feels about it ... right? ... :) ...

Contemplating the stars is a much better idea than contemplating the words of a madman like Tony.
