Going Home

Going Home

A Poem by luciddreamer

Packing to go back to my home

The one where the little girl come from

The clothes ,oh yeah,  there in the suitcase

My blood pressure medicine in my purse

Now where's my courage?

Oh there you are, go ahead and take a seat

How about sanity, are you present?

Alright then I will not leave you in the heat

I need silence and understanding front and center

Pride and prejudice you can not enter

Grateful words you'll be my partner

Positive attitude your on my side here

Let's get on the bus, take your pen and paper

Enjoy the ride, hope you make a difference

But if not,

You'll sleep better

 knowing you at least tried

this is a wonderfully human poem~ taking all the faceted gems of character from the box of self and placing them into the setting of life~ and going forward with courage~
you've a way of writing where the simplest collection of subliminal nuances create something extremely profound which speaks to the human in us all~
