An Ode to my Goddess

A poem inspired by what my love usually tells me.

 

You are the lone flower in my garden of songs

Its melody hums of your beauty

The rhythm has followed that of your laughter

And it sings at the marvel of your wonder

 

The joy of my palms touching your soft skin

Has taken me to a haven of pure bliss

As the bountiful ground stood witness,

I cradle you to my dreams

 

The way your eyes twitch as it curls to a smile

Or the way it expresses your thoughts

The way it searches for my presence,

Has never failed to pierce my weakened soul

 

The world offers a universe of options

Yet I would be a fool to even look

In you are colors like red and blue and yellow

Everything else is but mere shadow

 

Laugh with me, my love

And let me watch you radiate my happiness

Speak to me of your sad or happy stories,

And let me be a part of each

 

You are the picture of a million pictures

And my words will never be enough

To thank you for letting me be your frame

And show your beauty in my embrace

 

You are the lone flower in my garden of songs

I will forever be singing of your truth.

Wherever this new path will lead us,

You will always be my tune.
